RATHA SAPTAMI is the one of the festival of Odisha people celebrates every year.To this festival all around India people will come and worship JAGANATHA SWAMY and took his blessings.The temple was built in the 11th century atop its ruins by the progenitor of the Eastern Ganga dynasty, King Anantavarman Chodaganga Deva, grandson of Chola emperor Virarajendra Chola and nephew of emperor Kulothunga Chola I.Lord Jagannath was originally worshipped as Lord Neela Madhav by a Savar king ( tribal chief ) named ViswavasuJagannath Temple in Orissa consists of four entrance gates. They are named as Singhadwara, Ashwadwara, Hathidwara and Vyaghradwara and these names refer to lion, horse, elephant and tiger. Each day, the Lord at the Jagannath Temple is offered 'bhoga' six times and it is dispensed among the worshippers close to Ratnavedi.
